    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was a class taken as dual enrollment before my senior year in high school. I was the only high school student in a community college class of 20 students. It gave me a great understanding of the difference in the pace of learning and teaching in college. I was motivated when my classmates engaged me in conversations and dialogues. I became one of the information resources in my class. This experience propelled me to be very confident and comfortable in all my classes as a high school senior.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this class include being in class with students who also worked and had parental responsibilities. Most were already college graduates embarking on career changes. I also appreciate the approach and expertise of my professor who was a mechanical engineer at a high tech company in the region.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Use this opportunity to learn how to interact with students who are already experts in their current careers. The wealth of exposure could give you a good insight into the application of the subject matter.
