    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it forces you to be open minded and think beyond your circle of friends. It exposes you to the different ways in which our society has shaped us as individuals. I also recommend this course because it can help to eliminate any misconceptions, prejudices, and stereotypes that we may have about different groups of people.

    Course highlights:

This course highlighted not only the numerous inequalities that many people around the world face regarding race, gender, and socioeconomic class, but also the background history as to why this occurs. It gave me a greater understanding of the world that I live in and fascinating theories regarding for example, 'why the homeless tend to be mentally ill and why the mentally ill tend to be homeless'. One thing I took away from this course is that tolerance and understanding is the key to a more united world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the reading because it the key to understanding the fundamental concepts in sociology.
