    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is hard for an intro class. He makes his test questions half MC, but also short answer. The short answer is ridiculously hard to gain points in. even though the class is hard, it has a significant curve.

    Course highlights:

Learn about the evolution from water to land, the plants and animals that were within the evolution, as well as the science behind cell reproduction.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

make sure you attend his class, there are typically Top hat questions and TA guided notes. They arnt any help. Study previous exams to feel for the exams and look into his Powerpoints in depth.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It will help you understand where life originated and how it expanded on a molecular level.

    Course highlights:

This is a great course that will explain the origins of our solar system, planet, and life. It really helped me understand the chemical processes that occurred in early stages of our planet that led to an environment in which organized life could thrive and replicate. I also learned the principles and processes of evolution that caused an early single celled organism to begin a lineage of over 5 billion species.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go back an watch the lectures online. You will find a lot of important information that you missed from lecture. Also, show up to class. There are in class questions that are graded.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr Poulin is an amazing professor that will start your biological journey just right and will show you how amazing the world out there with all its creatures can be

    Course highlights:

The highlights are - evolution and diversity. I learned that the vast variety of organisms out there is beyond the imaginable. Starting from the living/non-living viruses and prions, to unicellular organisms, to colonies, to multicellularity leading to us - it is just fascinating!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Just study hard and know why you are doing this - you can do it if you are consistent, get yourself together and give yourself enough time to both study and relax. Do not try to be perfect, try to be efficient
