    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course allows you to discover what work ethic will work best for you to succeed in the course and for future classes as well.

    Course highlights:

Professor Herreid tried to relate the material to interest the class such as by dressing up as Charles Darwin. I learned about transition of organisms contributing to the evolution of life and their life cycles. This included not only animal cycles, but as well as plants and fungi.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Students should always go to lecture and take good notes. You should rewatch the lectures and create note cards when preparing for the exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn more about life on Earth; it is expansive, wildly interesting, and beautifully lectured. Sure, it may be difficult to memorize the entire tree of life and sometimes I have to laugh at the fact that humans are in fact, deutorostomes, but there is something overwhelmingly brilliant about learning all about what led up to the world that we know today.

    Course highlights:

You learn almost anything you can think of about the diversity of biological life and the basics of ecology. The ecology unit at the end of the course is probably the easiest and most easily digested part of the course, but the in depth explanations of every branch of the tree of life may have its charms for some people. If you don't learn anything else, you will definitely learn that most conifers have needles for leaves and pinecones for seeds; and you will never get that song out of your head.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to use your lecture guide to go over each class, and don't forget to go to class - missing lectures will destroy your letter grade in this class. The laboratory section may be a bit tedious at times, but it is evident that you still pay attention to the labs and make sure that you study for the exams. A lot.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He is funny and he has an amazing lecture. However , I think that he has the hardest tests. In each test, there are many multiple choice and short answers. Comparing to other teachers, the tests are more difficult. There are total 100 multiple choice questions and other materials.

    Course highlights:

I learnt the history of evolutionary in this course. He taught us the evolution of animals and love which I was not expected. There are many examples of each case but you need to memorise them because they will be on the tests.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to memorize many materials if you are taking his class. The professor is nice but it is not easy to get high marks. I need to study for a long time for a test while the result is not good.
