Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I enjoy the class. I like how professor Bennett started off chapter one with the begining of time, back when there was no media at all, there is a lot of discussion during class and it is always interesting. although this class is 3hours long i would recommend it.

    Course highlights:

Every time Professor Bennett covers a new topic he shows videos and clips that help give example and explain the topic even further. I love that because it really helps me with understanding material.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The videos during class are worth paying attention to. Show up to class, pay attention and you'll do fine

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course was very interesting and usually the highlight of my day, we learned a lot about the media and how it works. While learning about the media, we learned about not only how to be savvy media producers, but also how to be savvy media consumers. This course went on about all the different kinds of media and truly spoke to me, because we also learned about the impact media has on our society, which is part of the reasons I am a communications major, to help better society and our societal expectations, through a positive lens portrayed by the media.

    Course highlights:

I learned that we must look at media in a certain way, this way must lead us to not be persuaded by all that it is even though it inhabits our every day lives. We must not only be savvy consumers of media, but also savvy producers of media as com majors. This course taught me how to catch people's attention through the media, what makes them angry, what makes them sad, the basis of media, how many forms of media work, such as radios, televisions, internet, and much more. Also by saying how it "works", I mean how it found a way to grasp the attention of viewers, keep that attention, and become successful in the industry, much like what I must do with myself in order to be successful in such a field as communications.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You must study often, pop quizzes are frequent and easy as long as you study. Also all of the readings are a MUST, you are a college student now, which means you cannot just take this course and the readings placed upon you lightly. Attendance is an absolute must as well. As long as you look at this school as somewhat of a duty or a part-time job, and treat it that way as well, you should be in the clear. Lastly kiddo, take a breather and a second to manage your time for this course so you do not procrastinate it until the end.
