    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are going into the health professions you likely will have this as a required course like I did. If not, I would avoid it unless you are a Biology degree. It is very intensive and is not necessarily presented in a manner that is student focused on learning but professor oriented on lecturing.

    Course highlights:

What I learned in this course was how to teach myself and learn on my own. I learned that if I did not put in the time each week I would not be successful. This was my most time-intensive course that semester, while taking Calculus, Human Physiology, Human Anatomy, and of course Yoga.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to devote everything you have in order to get an A in this course. If you don't give it that level of effort you will skate through with the curve and get a B or a C and learn nothing. So work hard and learn the material now, you will use it in the future (Health Professionals).

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is meant as an introductory course for those wanting to go in-depth into biology. If you are looking for an "easy A" or a fun elective, this is not your course. I enjoyed this course for the fact it is leading me to my future in medicine but if you do not plan on moving towards a medical/ science career this is not a course for you.

    Course highlights:

This class was extremely hard, labs were fun though. They as well were very difficult but at least you got to feel like a biologist throughout the labs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate, and make sure you read the textbook. Quizzes are very important to your grade!
