Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Larsen records lectures for when you miss them or just need to go back and look over things. You will learn the basics to chemistry. From how to properly use significant figures to molecular geometry.

    Course highlights:

I learned conversions, stoichiometry, ionic compounds, molecular geometry vs. electron geometry, and problem solving.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Just because he records the lectures doesn't mean you should skip them. Go every once and a while and don't fall behind!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because not only is it interesting but it is interesting to see how subjects we learn about really apply to the real world and how you can see it happening in real life in front of you.

    Course highlights:

Some main things I learned about was how we identify chemical reactions, conversions, and electron clouds. All these things were really fun but my absolute favorite was near the end and learning about acids and bases.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say that this will not be an easy course if you don't give it the attention it needs. Studying the topic before the lectures, doing some practice problems in the book and going to office hours will always help you out if you want to do well in the class. You just need to put in the effort that you want to see come out from it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend professor Larsen's general chemistry class! Dr. Larsen is an excellent explainer either with models or even in class experiments!

    Course highlights:

I've gained knowledge from naming compounds all the way to distinguishing polar and non polar bonds. My favorite was converting measurement units and mole to mole conversions

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study! Don't blow up homework or quizzes because every point counts! Also take advantage of office hours, they help a lot!
