Pretty easy, overall.
The course material was engaging and interesting -- surprising in a 300 seat lecture -- and had great goals. The focus wasn't just on foundations of journalism or advertising techniques, but on creating cultural- and media-literate citizens.
The best part of this course were when we had to record our own media use for three days. It really gave me insight both into my own life and into the ways that people act when they know they're being observed. I used less social media than ever during those three days!

Advice for students:
Make flashcards for the exams well in advance, and review them in conjunction with the lecture notes that are posted online! After I made flashcards from my notes and reviewed them just a few times I was able to get over 100% on every exam. Also, there's extra credit on every exam based on information from the book chapters, so do the reading for that!
