    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you have a strong desire to learn about stylistic aspects of film, and how these effects are created. There is a movie screening each week, and I found it to be very interesting to apply what you learn in lecture, and be able to identify said elements on my own.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the process and tools that go into creating a movie. Furthermore, I learned about specific aspects that fit certain movies into certain categories. Being exposed to a variety of films has broadened my thoughts about film as a whole, as well as has better prepared me for the task of creating my own film.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is not difficult, as long as you attend lecture and screenings as well as stay on top of your homework. Allowing yourself to fall behind in your readings will certainly impact your ability to follow and truly understand what is being discussed in lecture.
