Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Rhetoric is a great class to take freshman year because you will be able to meet other freshman and talk about and study a topic that is interesting to you. In order for this class to be the most beneficial, be sure to read the course descriptions of each Rhetoric class offered and pick one that has a topic that seems intersting to you.

    Course highlights:

In my Rhetoric class, we focused on media, specifically television, and how it affects people's attitudes toward society. I loved learning about how different movies and TV shows are received by the public and how producers take those things into account.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to check out all of the options and enroll in a course that has an interesting topic so you are engaged with the subject matter throughout the semester.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Rhetoric is all about interpretation of the world around us and how to analyze every situation closely with different perspectives. Megan does an excellent job at going through the subjects and getting students involved. It's very intellectual and I strongly believe everyone should take this class.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to look at situations from every perspective including my own. I learned how to present my rhetorical perspectives as well as analyze other rhetorical writings. My speaking skills improved and so did my papers. I learned a little more about myself as well in the process.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class, it is worth it. It's fun! Also, go with an open mind. Not everything is terrible and definitely do not sit yourself in a corner and judge based on your own bias.
