Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would recommend this course to any student who is remotely interested in animals or the environment, because it provides a rather broad overview of marine ecosystem functions and interactions and various conservation methods that humans are practicing. There is hardly ever a boring discussion in this class!
The course started off with an introduction to oceanography and physical ocean functions, then we examined a multitude of marine environments and the roles that various organisms play in them. The class was wrapped up with a discussion of anthropogenic impacts on marine life and the ways in which we can help preserve our oceans.

Advice for students:
At the end of the semester we were required to give a presentation on a subject of our choice related to marine science or conservation, so my advice would be to be prepared to do a lot of research on a subject that the student finds interesting. Also pay attention in class and stay on top of the class assignments!
