This course is required for all engineering majors. If you are an engineering major you will have to take this course.
Course highlights:
This course covers the branch of mechanics that deals with bodies at rest and forces at equilibrium. You will study the effects and distribution of forces of rigid bodies which are acting is assumed to be rigid. The deformation of non-rigid bodies is treated in strength of materials. Statics covers topics like Equilibrium of Force system, Analysis of Trusses, Cables, Friction and Moments of Inertia.
