Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives you a good understanding about the basics of the study of chemistry that is needed for future advancement in other chemistry courses.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were all the fun things that you did in lab that weren't available in the generic high school chemistry class. We learned how PH scales, reaction rates based on material, and basically memorizing the whole periodic table.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To students that are considering this course its fun, but only take it if it is a requirement for your major otherwise you will have to put about 12-15 hours into this course, and the lab work with the notebooks that are due before the beginning of each lab from the previous week, and all of the homework that you are doing by hand takes time.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class was a great introduction to college chemistry. If you took chemistry in highschool there's a good chance material will be reviewed but it's very helpful for future chemistry courses.

    Course highlights:

I gained the general chemistry knowledge necessary for the more advanced chemistry courses. It also helped prepare for test-taking and study habits.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely stay up to date on homework. It's easy to blow off online assignments but they help when studying for exams.

    Course highlights:

I have really went in depth on some of the concepts that I just briefly learned about in high school.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Memorize what you are supposed to memorize for the first test very well, you will need it all year.
