    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This Business Communication class covers a lot of basic material in the subject area but rarely provides in-depth studies or advice.

    Course highlights:

The most interesting part of the course was learning about different cultures and the business customs they practice.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Lots of the course material is intuitive so just make sure you are using common sense in all your assignments.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Fairly good teacher, a little unclear when coming to assignments and when they're due. Take time to process info he throws on the slides as "extras". Really beneficial and helps earn better grade in course (unless you wanna use this website that works too)

    Course highlights:

Mostly everything was basic knowledge except when writing. Like most English classes in Iowa State, they have a hard time giving positive ratings to their students while they're in the class. You could have written the best piece this world has ever seen and they still will only give you a B+ at most. Write how you normally would the whole semester, and your grade will be just fine (about up to a B range). Then once you perform the extra credit, your score will be bumped up.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't wait until the due date comes. It's relatively hard to try and perform one of these assignments in one night that require you to have so much detail.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course teaches essential business communication techniques. No matter what field you go into, you will have to deal with business people and know how to communicate with them. Knowing how to write a memo, or draft a proposal will be key to your professional success!

    Course highlights:

We learned everything from how to write a memo, to how to write an apology letter. The best part of the course was going over real world examples of communication successes or failures...and not just from some old textbook. We pulled up current news that was happening right then.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you attend class. It is required, and it is paramount to being successful. Start projects as soon as they are released. There are several papers in this class, but none of them are too bad.
