    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is required for my major but I would recommend it either way for students that are interested in the field of genetics. It goes very in depth and teaches you the specifics of DNA and RNA. It is an extremely hard course and requires a lot of studying. I would recommend that students who take this course study at least an hour a day, complete all the problem sets, go over study guides, and that if students have questions , they should not hesitate to ask.

    Course highlights:

What I learned from this course is that in 300 level science courses, you really do need to take them seriously. The professor posted a letter explaining why some students failed the classes in previous semesters. He took a survey of all the students in the class and made conclusions based on the information. I learned to take my professors suggestions extremely seriously. I learned how to better manage my time and how to change up my study habits to help me succeed.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend that students spend a lot more time studying than I did. I took the class for granted and that was a huge mistake. You should spend at least 9 hours studying for this class a week which I know can be difficult especially for students who work or have extracurricular activities but it is important to try and make the time.
