    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I liked it because Alex cares about his students and wants them to succeed.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of the prerequisites needed for future math and ever physics courses.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Come prepared to class. You never know when you will be singled out in class!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would totally recommend taking this course with Professor Butler if you can. I can't lie, Calc II isn't much fun. It completely sucks at times, especially when you leave a lecture thinking what in the world did I just write down in my notes! But Professor Butler is easily the best math professor at Iowa State, and he truly cares about his students learning the material, not just memorizing notes. He presents in a funny, ridiculous way that makes time fly, and if you put in hard work this class will be rewarding for you.

    Course highlights:

Calc II is hard, but if there is one thing it taught me over that semester is the value of hard work and dedication to a class. I found others, friends that had him as well, and we would spend a decent amount of time outside of class studying and working on assignments, which produced a grade much higher than I initially expected going into the course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY! GO TO TA SESSIONS! TAKE NOTES!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Butler does an excellent job in providing enough resources to study on his website.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were Dr. Butlers amusing jokes. The course was thorough and covered from solids of revolution up to parametrization this semester.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Utilize the resources given by the head professor of the department. If they create the tests, look at their practice tests and notes.
