    | Would highly recommend.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    I recommend this course because it connects past events in African American history to present events. The text books we read are genuine updated, and accurate. It can open your eyes to a different culture and people. The course also demonstrates that Africans weren't just slaves and had a rich culture before encountering the Europeans.

    Course highlights:

    I learned that African Americans make up 13% in US population today. Which is intriguing because about 37% of African American males are incarcerated. Mass incarceration was one of the highlights of this course because it shows institutionalized racism,

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Read the books and pay attention in class. Ask questions in class and start discussions. When study guides are given complete them,
