Not too easy. Not too difficult.
A very good introductory course to the biology major. Slightly more rigorous than other first year classes, but nothing that a good student can't get through. This class got me interested in new aspects of biology that I had never been interested in before.
My favorite topics for this course were DNA replication and gene expression. To go with that, the lab that dealt with outer membrane proteins and gene expression was really exciting as well. I learned a lot about operons and how protein production is regulated in cells.

Advice for students:
Make this course your priority and it goes very well. There were times where I put it off to the side and found it hard to catch back up. With that being said, it doesn't interfere with the other classes you take your first year, so spending a lot of time studying and reading for it is worthwhile.
