Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course if you are interested in music history. Professor Cain is an excellent teacher who has a passion for his subject, and who manages to engage his students in the class. No prior music knowledge is necessary.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed getting to learn about the different musical eras and learning more about musical genres and forms, etc. Professor Cain is a highlight in himself, as he is both funny and knowledgeable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you put in the necessary work. You'll have quizzes every second or third week, so you'll have a pretty steady workload throughout the term. If you work hard, you'll most definitely get an A.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Teacher is very passionate about his course. Very knowledgeable and interesting lectures.

    Course highlights:

Music history, class notes are very extensive. Study guide was always precise and he isn't trying to trick you during exams. Good jokes, nice teacher, easy course overall.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be interested in the material. If you're not, even though this is considered an ''Easy A class'', you won't have fun studying. It's an Easy A if you're willing to put work into it!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who has a remote interest in music, especially classical music as this course gives you an easy, doable introduction to many different early composers.

    Course highlights:

Beethoven's symphony, cultural importance of music, and its history

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen to the music, dont do the readings, listen to the lecture recordings because the prof gives cues as to what he will put on the exam
