    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Please memorize every single little detail they mention in the course, even if the professor says in lecture that you don't need to know it. Also, learn and understand the concepts to the point where you can play "connect the dots" with all of the information you have learned.

    Course highlights:

I liked learning about metabolism with Greg Brown, but the rest of the semester came off as "understandable material" but was extremely difficult to understand during the final.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Learn to play "connect the dots" with every single concept in class, because the exam was absolutely brutal with Zetka's "choose the best answer" with all multiple choice options being acceptable, and Dent's "select all that apply".

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I don't recommend this class, it was poorly organized and too much material!

    Course highlights:

We learnt how the cell cycle is regulated through cyclin production, actin filaments, microtubule network, cell metabolism...

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study in advance and ask questions to professors!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Prof. Brouhard is a great professor, he is clear and thorough and is willing to answer any questions before and after class. This is a great introduction to higher level bio classes since he really teaches students how to think critically and independently. This course isn't easy (work is definitely required) but Prof. Brouhard makes you want to put in the effort.

    Course highlights:

I feel like I learned a lot, both about biology itself as well as how to apply my knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of lectures, because there is a lot of content and it can pile up easily.
