Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Veissiere is a very intense and deep thinker with a lot of experience in the field in Latin America. He will challenge you to think more critically about the narratives you've heard about Latin America and about anthropology in general.

    Course highlights:

This course really provides you with insider knowledge about the history of anthropology in Latin America and how the discipline has evolved. Sam has great case studies, though he specifically really loves his theorists. You will learn a lot about the theories.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings because Sam's classes are always discussion heavy, and it's really interesting discussion so you want to be able to follow along and participate!
