    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. It is a good overview for all of the main topics of speech pathology and audiology, and provides students with the basic knowledge they will need to be successful in their future SPA classes. I also thought it was interesting for non-majors. It provides a lot of unique information not covered in other similar classes.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me were discussing the complex cases of ethics conflicts that arise in the clinical setting. I feel it was important to begin discussing these matters now, because in the end, a speech pathologist of audiologist's focus must always be on the well-being of their patient.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to put in the time studying for exams. The material seems easy, and it is. But there is just a large quantity of information that needs to be memorized, and that takes time. I would also recommend visiting the writing center prior to submitting the written assignments. APA can be very tricky to master.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a wonderful course to introduce speech pathology students to their major. Professor Corcoran was wonderful and always willing to help her students.

    Course highlights:

Professor Corcoran really focused on note taking and giving her students lots of information about this topic. She showed videos to help discuss the topics that we learned and was always willing to work with students. We learned about the Speech Pathology field and anatomy and physiology of speech.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you take extensive notes and really proof read your papers. Also, finish your papers early and send to the Professor. She would look over your papers and send it back to you with suggestions!
