    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it really set the base for my college writing career. That course really helped me get my writing to the college level and I really think it helped overall with the rest of my courses that required writing.

    Course highlights:

During the class I learned about grammar and spelling. I also learned how to put my thoughts into words. The most I learned from that course was when I had to write a 10 page research paper. I really learned a lot from that paper, and not just about my topic, but myself as a writer also. Overall I think it is a really helpful course that everyone should take in their beginning years of college.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Try your best, it wasn't a hard course, but to get the most out of it you need to try your best. Listening to the professor and asking questions was also helpful. I also really liked the peer editing portions of the class because the feedback was honest, so always make sure to go to those.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course teaches you the basics of how to successfully write well-developed essays. I think this class is excellent for preparing you to write in other, more advanced classes in the future.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was our third writing assignment, which was to make an argument for or against a topic we were passionate about. It was enjoyable to be able to research and write about something close to my heart, and as a result it was the piece of writing I am most proud of. I learned how to effectively make an argument and back my opinions up with evidence.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely take this course! it will well-prepare you for writing that will be required in your more advanced classes later on. Even if you think your major has nothing to do with English, you will be surprised at how much the skills you learn in this class come in handy.
