    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it can serve as a refresher for students who haven't taken chemistry since the beginning of their high school career while adding new information.

    Course highlights:

I learned that attending study sessions, office hours, and tutoring helped further my knowledge on the subject.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend office hours when you can. Also review the material you learn everyday so you won't forget things.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because Dr. Bretz has a passion for chemistry that matches no other. She is driven and wants her students to succeed. She will do whatever she can to help students understand and succeed in her class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were Dr. Bretz love and passion for teaching. It also gave a great basis for college chemistry. I learned a lot this year, and I know that I have a good basis in chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do the connect homework. It helps a lot. Also, go to office hours. She is the most helpful there. Do not be afraid to ask for help. Also, asking friends for help can be beneficial too.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Only take this course if it is required for your chosen major, or if you absolutely love chemistry. It is a difficult course that requires a lot of work and focus. You need to stay on top of material and work, while doing many practice problems to understand. The 25 question exams are NOT something you can only study the night before for. You have to review the information every day. And your only grades for the class are the exam scores.

    Course highlights:

I learned, most importantly, that not everything can be learned quick. chemistry takes a lot of work and many days to understand, and it gets really confusing. We learned about topics such as equilibrium, pressure, compounds, scientific units, and much, much more.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! This material is very hard and takes a while to understand. You can't learn it all in one night. Take notes during class and read the chapter if you can. Do all homework problems assigned for practice, and review information after class and whenever you can.
