Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it gives you a solid base to make political decisions from, including voting and media outlets.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course was that the book was very helpful, and the lectures filled in gaps from the reading, giving a good working knowledge of American politics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you complete the questions from the book, as the tests are modeled directly from the book questions.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class truly expanded my view of race in the United States, throughout the world, and at Miami University. The teacher was very biased, but in an acceptable way. She encouraged us to speak our minds and to talk about pressing issues our country faces today. It was refreshing to have a teacher that really valued your own opinion as well as questioning certain aspects of society when it comes to racial matters.

    Course highlights:

I learned the importance of understanding and a deeper knowledge about what the African American race had to endure throughout the course of the history of our country. It was refreshing to hear the other side of the argument.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Participate and read the assigned readings to help with the quizzes as well as class discussions.
