    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a hybrid course meaning it is part online. This is difficult because I do not feel a student can get a good idea of the subject if they are not free to ask questions of a professor and steer the professor in the direction of information that will be helpful to the individual.

    Course highlights:

The course was interesting as a subject. class is two days long, one with a lecture and one with a small group. In the small groups you practice the parts of the class that are most difficult and work on two projects in the semester. The math in statistics is almost all calculated online on stat crunch which is pretty easy to use.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

keep up with all of the modules and work all of the questions in the packets because the professor reuses questions on the exams. This class takes a lot of work but isn't too difficult as long as you do the work. Do not wait until the day of the exam to study all 12 of the modules because it will take you a lot of hours.

    | Would not recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

do not take this course at Miami! the head of the department is awful the TA's are bad and you have to teach yourself everything from videos. Overall not a good time, and you don't actually learn anything.

    Course highlights:

you dont really learn anything besides how to use Statcrunch a little.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Take it else where! or be ready to spend an extra 15 hours a week on vidoes, projects and office hour visits that are not very helpful.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course with Professor Stikeleather because he is not very helpful and he doesn't really seem to know how to teach. We have video lecture quizzes at the beginning of each week and we have to watch videos and then take a quiz on it. The videos are super easy to understand but then the quizzes are really hard and they count for a huge portion of your grade.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this class were few and far between but I did like both of the TA's because they were helpful and they were able to help one on one. I also like the homework help that is offered at the end of each week because it does help a lot.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take lots of detailed notes on the videos at the beginning of the week and pay attention in class. Ask questions when you have them and definitely go in for homework help to clarify any problems you have as soon as they come up.
