    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you love chemistry and you are good at it then this would be a good course for you. Dr. Y is very helpful in office hours and cares about student learning. However, if chemistry does not come naturally to you, this is not the class for you. The concepts can become very difficult and the information on lectures not finished in class you are still expected to know. Also, there is tons of graded homework that you often don't have time to get done that brings down your grade.

    Course highlights:

The highlights are that Dr. Y really cares and is willing to help any student on her office hours. The book is a great resource even though it's extremely long. If you know your way around the book that will really help in this class. I learned a lot about chemistry in this class that went much deeper than CHM 141. I learned how batteries work and why Garnier has come up with a new makeup remover and why that works so well. Most of the concepts Dr. Y tied back to our lives which helped aid in our learning,

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to work on chemistry everyday. Don't take any days off. Every weekend look over the lecture notes from the week and make sure you understand everything. Most importantly, read the book!!
