    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Jan is an incredibly supportive professor who pushes you to do your best. She talks about the Bible in an academic rather than preachy way, which I appreciated. The amount of work was perfect for a 100-level class. I appreciate that her participation points don't just come from talking--we could earn them in other ways.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed looking into why certain stories were written. We discussed whether or not to take the Bible literally, which is very important and controversial for some students.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always always always do the reading. It's one of the biggest things she grades on. Also, if you're having trouble, go to office hours. Jan is very understanding and reasonable.
