    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

    Well it's a general course all students have to take. I would just recommend this professor. I am not a music major but she made the time worth while and enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

    I learned a lot about music and a lot about what music majors are all about. I also learned the amount of time students put in to becoming great musicians.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Go to class, it's not that bad. The book really doesn't help because she does a great job with lectures and you learn by going to class.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    Professor Swanson is amazing! She always had funny stories to tell, but always made her way back to the lesson. I learned lots from her and all her lessons. We learned about lots of different composers that I had never heard of before, but learned that their music influenced and made music the way it is today.

    Course highlights:

    This course was a nice introduction to college class to have as a freshman. It really helped me prepare for other classes. I learned how to find my way across campus and where to find all the resources.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Go into the class with an open mind! If you have experience with music, bare through the first few weeks! It will be like 5th grade music class all over again.

    Course Overview:

    The professor is so much fun and makes this basic LAC course something you will look forward to in the week. Whether you are a lover of music or not, you will learn to appreciate this art more and have fun while doing it. She is really laid back and gives so many opportunities for extra credit. She always says that this should be a GPA boosting course, which it is because she doesn't let you be unsuccessful.

    Course highlights:

    You will learn about all different genres of music starting from classical all the way to modern music. The specific course I took focused a lot on Broadway which was so much fun!

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Take it if you need the LAC and want to have a low stress and fun class! Especially with Professor Swanson, she rocks!
