    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is great and the topics in the class are very interesting. There is something about learning how a current species has evolved and where they originate from that makes the class interesting. You definitely learn a lot in the class, no doubt about that.

    Course highlights:

There was a fossil project we were assigned. We had to go around town and find 4 different fossils from 5 different locations and take a picture there. It was a lot fun going on the fossil adventure because you learn so much about the location and what Kansas was thousands of years ago. From the fossils found, I learned that Kansas was submerged underwater. It did not feel like an assignment because you were exploring the town and discovering new things.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Find the right study group! Once you find the right people to study with, the class should become easier. There is a lot of information that needs to be memorized and learned in general so having the right people that will keep you focused and help with learning the information is helpful. There are a lot of vocabulary words and concepts that need to be memorized and you need to understand because there are questions that ask you to answer them using that information. Spelling does count! Don't let misspelled words keep you from getting an A.
