Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Everyone has to take Public Speaking and everyone has to get over their fear of it. Dr. Dennis' course touches on so many valuable aspects of the basic principals, from how to get over the anxiety that comes with the public speaking to how to be a good audience member. Despite being a summer course, it was packed with a lot of helpful information.

    Course highlights:

While Public Speaking can be either nerve-wracking or boring, it does not have to be! Dr. Dennis is definitely the highlight of the course, with his ability to keep the information engaging and entertaining while also being intriguing. I learned that if you are genuine and mean the best for yourself and your audience, 9 times out of 10, there isn't a need to be afraid to speak.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Breathe - even in the face of your fears, you will make it through with a newfound confidence. Be open to learning new ways of tackling situations and different ways you can think about a subject. And have fun - you'll be explaining subjects you love to your fellow peers. From that, you might make some strong connections for years to come.
