Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because, I did not have any experience with psychology before and this class showed me my love for psychology. I did not think that I would like this class as much as I did. When we did the first lesson, I was so intrigued. I immediately wanted to learn more. My teacher was great at relating the lesson to real life situations. I would recommend this class because I think that every student should have this basic understanding of psychology.

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight of this course was learning how to apply what I learned to real life situations. My teacher assigned us to write an "Apply It" paper. For this paper, I had to explain one concept from the book and explain it in my own words. Then, I had to explain how this concept applied to me. I had never done an assignment like this before. This assignment helped me learn how to use my own words, and apply them to my life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Advice that I would give to a student taking this course would be to study. Make sure that you study after every lesson. The teacher does not always cover everything that is in the chapter, so you have to do a lot of self teaching. Studying is a big part of this class. I probably would have done a lot better in this class if I would have started studying earlier for a test. I would start studying a week or so in advance for a test. If I could retake the course, I would start studying the chapter right after we had done the lesson in class. If you start studying early, anybody will do great in this class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Schroeder is the best teacher that I have had. He was always willing to help and set up appointments to go over various concepts and theories.

    Course highlights:

The discussions at the end of the class was the highlight of the course. We had the chance to ask questions to get a better understanding and it also got our minds back onto things and I believe the repetitions helped me on my tests later.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading the book and bringing any questions that you have to class and creating note cards based on these questions. The flashcards ensures that you understand it and bringing questions helps you in class and potentially helps your classmates.
