Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it helps a great amount with public speaking. This class is about giving speeches, taking tests, and learning the qualities of public speaking. This course really focuses on the different aspects of communication and prepares you for the real world in talking with people.

    Course highlights:

I gained confidence a lot of confidence. I learned different ways to communicate such as using different body signals to portray different meanings. The highlights of this course were you are able to work on your public speaking with four speeches that are mandatory for a good grade.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say, don't sweat it. Writing speeches aren't too bad. If you have communication apprehension (nerves talking in front of people) then it is a good way to conquer those fears.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Even though this class is required for a General Education degree, I thought it taught key fundamentals that every person will need to know, no matter what degree they receive.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of giving a presentation (stance, body language, voice hesitations, dress code, facial expressions). It teaches you how to present clearly and appropriately and also how to properly communicate in general. I learned the proper name of various types of communication and tendencies that humans have while interacting. I learned how to do an Audience Analysis which helps you focus your speech on what the audience would like to hear. I also had a time limit on speeches which gave me another task to concentrate on while giving my presentations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

One very important advice for this course would be to practice your speech over and over again. The more you become familiarized with your presentation, the better and more confident you will sound giving it.
