Pretty easy, overall.
This class is relatively easy. Exams are take-home, relatively light homework load. You do a simulation throughout the semester which you have to pay for, but it's not too bad. There is a pretty big group project and individual research project you have to do. You get the whole semester for both, though, and they aren't due until the end. The group project is a case study that you work together on and write a paper over. The individual project is a Personal Marketing Plan; it's a lot of work, but I felt like I learned a lot about myself doing it, and it's good to have to set goals and a timeline for your college career.
I learned a lot about the basics of marketing. Again, I felt the most valuable part of this class was the personal marketing plan as it not only teaches you how to promote something, it's teaching you how to promote yourself and makes you think about what you are wanting to do in the future and how you will get there.

Advice for students:
I would recommend taking this course only if it is required for your major. You get a lot out of it, but unless you're going into marketing/business/communications I doubt it would be very helpful.
