Course Overview:
It's not a bad class, just know your algebra well and try not to take shortcuts very much or else you could mess up pretty bad. Instructor isn't bad but she's a very big stickler on math grammar.
Course highlights:
Finally learning derivatives instead of the limit process. It's valuable to know that algebra well always be there and you need to know it.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Know your algebra and trig functions.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
Prof. Wang is a brilliant teacher, but often you will need to watch youtube videos on each section to get a complete explanation of what is going on, because her English is rather poor. Also, the homework is completely optional. The four exams are the only thing you are graded on, so you have to be self-motivated on homework. And this class will end you if you don't do the homework.
Course highlights:
How to quickly imagine the relationships between variable, particularly in rational expressions.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Youtube videos. Seriously. Every section heading in the textbook has corresponding videos from Khan Academy on youtube. Watch all of them. Repeatedly.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This teacher is AMAZING! She's always willing to help, and she LOVES math which makes this class amazing. If she was teaching Calc II I would totally take it.
Course highlights:
First, Calc II isn't that hard, especially with this teacher. She makes things easy and is more than willing to help if you are confused.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Be prepared to learn and understand:) This course was my favorite course this semester.
