Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's very interesting and it helps to give the foundations of chemistry that you will need later on. I loved learning new theories and topics. However, not a huge fan of memorize names, etc. because it felt pointless when instead I could just look up the name I needed. However basic theory behind chemistry is important to understanding how things work.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about acids and bases. Oxidation numbers were also enjoyable. Sometimes naming compounds can be difficult but writing the formulas was fun. Sadly, thermodynamics is only briefly covered in this course. You also learn how to write and balance chemical equations which is an important skill.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to study! Make sure you understand the theories and the basics behind what and why you are doing something. Take notes and write down every example problem because usually they solve in similar ways. Writing down examples will also help you pick up an similarities between different reactions. Text book reading isn't the most important however, the practice problems in the book are.
