This class was tough.
Course Overview:
Professor Balman is an amazing teacher and can relate mathematical problems to everyday problems. He empathized with students about his past experiences taking the course, putting students at ease.
Course highlights:
I can certainly say that the course is tough if you don't put at least 2 hours a day of you attention to this course. Word problems are the most difficult to asses because you have to know what the problems asks you to asses in order to know you are doing the work right. I especially liked working with derivatives, which was the easiest part of the course. If you have a great an excellent knowledge of pre-calculus or trigonometry then you will do well in this course.
Hours per week:
12+ hours
Advice for students:
Work as much problems as you can and do not be afraid to ask questions. Use the resources such as videos, professors help, group studies, etc... Read the problem once, then read it again, and then after you read it twice, read it one more time.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This was the best math course I have ever taken! Lang knows this stuff very well and makes learning and retaining material very easy. He is an out going professor and willing to help you succeed no matter what.
Course highlights:
Understanding difficult concepts and retaining information!
Hours per week:
