    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I didn't personally like it because it was a lecture class and there were 1,000 of us in there. It is super easy to get distracted and you can't ask your professor to go back and repeat what he said.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were that it was just a 50 minute class.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention and make sure to record every lecture.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The grade you recieve on this course is very much up to you. You have all the homework dates in advanced, the required reading material, as well as supplement classes which help review the material you might not understand yet. As long as you put a decent amount of effort in this class, then you will pass it!

    Course highlights:

Surprisingly enough, I enjoyed the lecutres the most. I thought both professors gave plenty of application examples throughout, which, personally, is curcial to fully understanding the topic. The clickers make it even more interactive, in my opinion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework and reading in advanced! It takes so much pressure off of you when it comes to the test and makes it so thast you are prepared during lectures.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you're taking a general science just to get it out of the way, I would caution you to be sure that BIOL 100 isn't required. If it's not, spend your time somewhere else. This course is challenging and with 800+ students it is hard to keep focus on Mr. Deboer, who is very monotone and boring.

    Course highlights:

BIOL 100 taught me more than general biology, it made sure that I knew how to pay attention when I didn't want to, an obstacle throughout college. But I also learned a lot more about adaptation patterns and the electron chain transport than I ever knew before, which as a health major are important things. The electron chain transport has already reappeared in two of my classes and I am glad I learned it first in biology.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice for this course is to do the homework and use the resources given to you. GTA's, study groups, and other things like Learn Smart and Quizlet are all valuable. Spend plenty of time covering material that you went over and class because they do a good job of highlighting materials that are on the test. The homework and in class assignments will fill in the extra minor areas that might be covered. Also: keep your tests, they reuse them for the final.
