    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Ilardi is a fantastic teacher. He is incredibly motivated and has a lot of enthusiasm about the content of his lectures. This spreads to the students and it creates a positive academic atmosphere during his lectures. I love that he actually cares about his students and his patients. He is also very honest with us about the mental health professions. I appreciate his candidness as well.

    Course highlights:

Learning about the different phobias, it's astonishing to learn about the different kinds of fears that people have.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take very detailed notes. The test questions are all from the notes that you take in class. This is not a class where you can go on your phone and surf through the exams. As long as you take detailed notes, you will get at least an 80 percent in the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved Dr. Ilardi's class! He shares so many great stories it is really easy to pay attention during his lectures.

    Course highlights:

My takeaways from the class all came from Dr. Ilardi's lectures. His stories and relevant examples made the readings and lecture material a lot easier to understand.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class! Not only will you not want to miss because Dr. Ilardi is a great lecturer, but a lot of the test questions come from his lectures.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course, as well as the instructor. I learned a lot from this class and ended up with a grade that I was satisfied with, but fair warning, it was very challenging. I've heard that it is more enjoyable if you take it with Professor Ilardi.

    Course highlights:

I learned about what classifies as abnormal behavior, how to distinguish between a psychological disorder and dysfunction, and about several types of disorders and dysfunctions. Some of which were eating disorders, personality disorders, and sexual dysfunctions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading. It is quite the heavy load, but it will be essential to doing well on his tests. There is a great feature on Launchpad where you are quizzed over content you've read about in the section (this is for your convenience only, it is not graded), as well as reviews at the end of each chapter. There is also a chance for up to three points of extra credit for meaningful class participation. I recommend using these tools.
