    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a required course for me. It was not my favorite, but it wasn't terrible either. It was pretty easy as long as you pay attention and do the homework.

    Course highlights:

This class teaches basic biology. The best part of this class was that you get to drop your lowest test grade.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this if you are not a science major. I used it to complete a core requirement.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class size is so large it is hard to get your questions answered. There's also never enough time to really learn all that they test on. It's easy if you attend all the lectures and do the work.

    Course highlights:

It's very similar to highschool biology, just a little more of a loud of homework. Tests are pretty difficult, studying is a necessity for this course. A lot of people in the lecture.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You definitely need to put in the hours every week and take time on the homework assignments. Studying is necessary for the tests. Attendance is graded so go to every class or as many as you can.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a class that is required as part of the KU core. It requires a lot of studying and attending as many classes as one can, if not all. At the end of the semester you feel that you have learned a lot of information and feel rewarded with a good grade after working so hard for it.

    Course highlights:

I learned that there are a lot of things within the human body that I had forgotten about since I have taken biology in high school. Many people have learned after this class that they either love or hate science. It is a great way for students to be introduced into the topic of science and decide if they are ready to pursue a degree in this field.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students enrolled in this course to pay attention in class and study all of the online questions/clicker questions. These are often seen on the exams and are great for helping you absorb the material.
