Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Seriously one of my favorite courses ever and professors ever. Social Psych is so fascinating because it explains why we process social events the way we do; it explains how we react in an emergency, in an intimate relationship, when you're confronted by an awkward situation, on and on and on with fascinating things you never realized about yourself but is scarily accurate. Profess Landau was one of my favorite professors too. He is fluent in the subject, and has a hilariously dry sense of humor that I loved (and I'm not even a big fan of sarcasm, but he is just so funny!). He has a great way of explaining things. He is a no non-sense professor though! He will call you out in class if you're on your phone or talking, even in a lecture hall of 300 students! Definitely worth it. Plus your entire grade is four exams, which makes it really easy to put your all into the tests and not have to worry about a million little assignments or quizzes throughout the semester. It was highly motivating to be a good student.

    Course highlights:

The biggest takeaway from this course is how you walk away knowing yourself so much deeper, and knowing those around you so much deeper. It's so important that we understand our social tendencies, because they can determine a life of success or a life of insecurity.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the book, and always come to class. His tests are 50% lecture, 50% textbook. Especially considering Professor Landau doesn't require any extra assignments or quizzes or papers of you, the least you can do is attend lecture and read the book.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

HE WROTE THE TEXTBOOK! He is very thorough in his presentations and tends to relate concepts to current events so we all understand it.

    Course highlights:

The TA's made learning the content a lot easier. My TA had a thing for group work, but it made for awesome discussions and I was able to retain more by being in a discussion section.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't skip lecture because slides aren't posted on Blackboard. The book sometimes contains more content than what's on the slides so please read the chapters.
