    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

You go in depth into mythology and read classical texts.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to analyize texts and how not to judge a book or a story by its title and cover.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always take notes. You will always find a new way to learn and explore mythology. Professor Welch has made me learn to love reading again.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a great class to take to learn about Greek gods and goddesses. This is great for classics majors and people that like to learn about history.

    Course highlights:

I learned about stories of the gods and goddesses, it made me more interested in the class, and overall the content was not too challenging and not too simple.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to read a lot, be prepared to learn about how everything can relate to something else, and be prepared for a shock.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you enjoy history or the classics, I would highly recommend taking this course. It is, by far, one of my favorite classes that I have taken since coming to KU.

    Course highlights:

I gained a greater understanding of the course materials, but I also learned how to manage my time better. There was a lot of reading in this course, so it helped me plan out when I would dedicate time to reading. It also helped my comprehension skills, and challenged me to think more critically about what I was reading.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the required readings, no matter what. The class relies heavily on this. If you don't do the readings, you won't know what's going on in the class.
