Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's necessary to get into Organic Chemistry, and it really shows you a lot of stuff that was introduced in chemistry 130 that wasn't really explained. However, the difficulty spike between 130-135 is very noticeable, and it preps you for Organic chemistry.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were likely stuff that we had already known, yet mixed in with new concepts. Going in, I knew how to write electron models, find the Delta G or Delta H of certain things, but when they began introducing new thermo-chemistry ideas it became a whole new ball game that was very interesting. It's a good blend of old and new content.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to figure out how to balance this with all of your other courses. It's not the most difficult class in the world, but it's also NOT the easiest. If you try to avoid it for other "more important" courses, you're gonna be setting yourself up for trouble. It's definitely not something that takes a whole day to study for, but a few hours every night will do you good. Also, pay attention in the labs. They will explain things that you may not fully understand. If that still doesn't help, then be sure to go to the office hours, or build a study group.
