Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking a public speaking class anywhere you go to school. I'm terrified of speaking in front of large groups of people and I dreaded this class and honestly almost dropped it, but I stuck it out and I don't regret it. I would spend days dreading a speech and be no nervous I would lose my appetite. When I would go up there and present and it would be over in less than ten minutes, so all of those hours of making myself miserable and it was only ten minutes of my whole life, once every two weeks for a semester. I also took it for college credit in high school, so I won't have to take it again in front of a bigger audience. Whatever hardship you're going through in school or outside of school, just remember, it's only such a small portion of life in the grand scheme of things.

    Course highlights:

Although my nerves never went away for this class, I realized my speeches were only so long and it would be over before I knew it. I learned to not dwell on nervousness and realize that you just have stick things out and most likely, all of the nerves and stress are not even worth it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise them to take it, and take it for college credit. If public speaking is something you don't enjoy, much like myself I would advise you to get it out of the way so you don't have to take it in front of a larger audience.
