    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Rai was passionate about helping students excel in Life. Secondly, it was obvious that he really enjoyed Accounting. It almost felt as thought his first language was Accounting. He really didn't seem as if he had to think hard about it. Finally, he knew how to deliver his material, which completed the process of learning. I believe that for learning to take place, the delivery method has to be effective, secondly the material has to be well received.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge that i time and time again fall back on when making my investments decisions. I learned how to analyze a Financial statement by paying special attention on three components of Financial Statements; Statement of Cash Flow-it lays out the concrete cash strength of a company within a stated period. Income Statement- considers the profits and losses Balance sheet- it shows a firms assets, liabilities and equity

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To walk in to the class room with the mentality of "I am here to figure out why and how some companies do well financially while others don't. This is a practical class which grants practical knowledge.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course begins it is the first intermediate Accounting class you will take and really distinguish the accountants from the rest. I struggled through the class however learned a lot and made a commitment to the accounting career.

    Course highlights:

I learned self discipline and better study habits.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If possible schedule this course with a lighter workload, and any free time devote to this class. The time given for the exam is regular time in class however there where many questions and if you did not know your stuff, you will definitely run out of time. This is the last class you want to fall behind in. Also, the professor is a really good guy, however he expects you to have done the reading and be up to speed (highly recommend) when he presents the lectures. I know a few friends who got behind and immediately took it out on him.
