Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course for students pursuing science degrees. This course builds a foundation that helps college newcomers ease into their difficult course load. However, this is not an easy course. You still have to put in the time, but it is a good start for those pursuing science degrees because it is a challenging beginner class. The professor, Challener, was more than willing to help students learn their note taking and study styles. She showed students how difficult topics can be understood with the right techniques, but also challenged us to stretch our understanding.

    Course highlights:

Some of the topics we covered were macromolecules, evolution, cell biology, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, and genetics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Bring a notebook the first day of class because you will be having a lecture. Buy the book, read it, and outline its content. This will help you have a deeper understanding of the topics covered in the lecture. This will also introduce you to the topics that were skipped in lecture which could end up on the test. Lastly, talk to the professor. Challener was more than happy to help explain topics further or go over difficult subjects.
