    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course isn't easy, I won't deny that. You'd better be prepared to take a comprehensive HUM class with some aspects of both an art class and a history class integrated into it. Be that as it may, if you can handle that sort of thing then you will DEFINITELY enjoy this class.

    Course highlights:

The professor is enthusiastic, witty, and committed.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your reading to the best of your ability and don't procrastinate on papers. Seriously. Also, flash cards are your friends.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Frederick was awesome and made sure that we understood the material before we moved on. She made me a better writer by giving me useful critiques and tools to make my writing better.

    Course highlights:

I learned a great amount about art from the old days, like the Renaissance period. It was awesome to learn about these great sculptures that helped make art what it is today. The sculptors of the time created the ground work for art and helped pave the way for what it would become

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Flashcards were super helpful when I was studying the sculptures whenever we were tested on them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Technically it is a required course for first year students at Centre College, but it has given me new insight in historical reading that I did not notice the first time I studied them. (ex. The Odyssey)

    Course highlights:

Always do the reading. My advice, if you're having trouble understanding the text, is to either Sparknote it or find another summary online then try reading the actual text again. It has always helped me because I know what I'm looking for in the text.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Look through his writing guide, read all the assignments, don't skip class, pay attention during class discussion.
