    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Biology 112, was one of the more difficult courses that I have taken at JCTC. Science is not my strong suit, but it was worth it to tough it out.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the group presentation that we were to give as our last assignment, I learned so much about the topic my group chose, environmental pollution and the impact on the planet.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to students considering this course would be to take thorough notes, always participate in lectures and discussion, and take your group presentation very seriously.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Biology may be difficult for some students, but Professor Terhune is great! He is always willing to help, he doesn't use a textbook, but his own personal study guides, and he goes into detail on each topic.

    Course highlights:

Not having to purchase a textbook was a great highlight, as well as the sections on evolution and the reproductive system. I learned how certain characteristics of a fetus are determined by either the male, or the female.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Please take notes, and ask as many questions as possible. If you think you may need additional help, he does suggest a textbook to purchase.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is great for students who are going into any health, or science major. it's a course that introduces the fundamentals for studying life. It puts your foot in the door, and helps you understand, a little of whats going on around the world. As well as professor Terhune is a great teacher, he helps you understand subjects that you may have difficulty with, he takes the time to talk it over with you, if you need him to.

    Course highlights:

this course i gained valuable knowledge, that I use in my life, and higher courses. I think that the most interesting subject of this course, was learning about the Taxonomy system that some scientists still use today. How every living organisms on the planet has a specific role, and place in the taxonomy system.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering to take this course I would recommend to take this course at the Jefferson Community and Technical College, in Shelby County. And have this professor he is really good, and helps you understand the subject very well.
