This class was tough.
Course Overview:
This was a prerequisite for my doctoral program. It was very difficult for me because I hadn't taken a "math" course for over 20 years. Both the professor and the teacher's assistant were very helpful to me.
Course highlights:
This course used a very old statistics program which involved writing code for statistical formulas. I did really learn quite a bit compared to the other graduate level research and statistics courses that I had taken in the past.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
I suggest doing extra homework questions. We were allowed to write all of the formulas on a 5x8 card for the mid-term and final exams. I copied all of them onto an 8x11 piece of paper then used a copy machine to shrink it to 5x8.
