    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who has to take the MCAT. This course is extremely challenging but definitely does its job in preparing you for the biochemistry section of the MCAT. The class also very interesting because it applied the material to the human body and what would happen if certain enzymes or amino acids were not present or functioning properly.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were its application to medicine. I found that extremely interesting and it kept me feeling that all my studying was not going towards memorizing random facts for something that I will never use. I learned the amino acids, everything about proteins, everything about DNA and RNA, enzymes, and also about metabolism which included fatty acid synthesis and degradation, glycolysis, krebs cylce, ETC, and digestion.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study everyday. Otherwise the class becomes overwhelming and it seems impossible to catch up with all the material and the small details which will be asked about on the exams.
